Quick answer

When Is the North Georgia Boat Show?

The North Georgia Boat Show runs Thursday, December 10 through Sunday, December 13, 2026, at Gas South Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Duluth, GA 30097. Adult tickets are $16, and kids under 14 get in free. Martin Docks will be exhibiting all four days with custom docks, DuraTek boat lifts and Wave Armor PWC ports.

It’s a brand-new, nonprofit show built by the North Georgia boating community, and it’s the region’s first big indoor boat show of the 2026–2027 season. Because the official site lives at northatlboatshow.com and tickets are sold as the “North Atlanta Boat Show,” you’ll see both names. They’re the same event.

The show sits about half an hour up I-85 from Atlanta and close to the lakes, so it’s an easy trip from Lake Lanier, Lake Allatoona, Lake Hartwell, Clarks Hill and the mountain lakes. Expect 12+ boat dealers, 80+ vendors and exhibitors, boats you can climb aboard with no rope lines, boating and fishing seminars, live music and a kids zone. The show also supports Folds of Honor Georgia.

Dock Planning for North Georgia Lakes

The North Georgia Boat Show draws boaters from across the region’s lakes, and each lake has its own rules for dock size, placement and permits. Martin Docks builds on all of them from our offices in Gainesville and Hiawassee.

Tell us your lake at the booth and we’ll explain what the managing authority allows before we design, so your dock plan is buildable from day one. Want a head start? Read our guides to Corps of Engineers dock regulations and the TVA dock permit process.

Why a December Boat Show Is the Right Time to Plan a Dock

Permits take time. Corps, TVA and Georgia Power reviews don’t happen overnight. Starting your design in December puts you at the front of the line instead of in the summer rush.

Winter is build season. Lower winter water and a quieter lake make for better build and install conditions. A plan made at the show can be on the schedule before boating season arrives.

Everything is in one room. The dock, the boat lift and the PWC ports all have to fit together. At our booth, the builder and the lift and port manufacturers are side by side, so you can plan the whole setup in one visit.
